Get the scoop on Eating and cooking healthy
nutritional food.
Do we have to feed our kids junk food, or is their health
more important? Our kids have grown up in a fast pace society, with fast food. Take a
minute as a parent to think about the reasons we eat quick and often unhealthy foods.
Late for soccer practice, worked late and too tired to plan a wholesome meal, or simply
traveling, are just a few reasons kids are eating junk food. With just a few minutes of
planning, eating healthy can be a success. And yes, even parties can be fun with wholesome
tasty foods. It’s not about not having enough time; it’s about making a commitment to
change back to the way humans having been eating for centuries, whole foods, not processed
foods.
New stats according to
American Heart Association states that today 11 million kids are
overweight and an additional 13 million are at risk of being overweight. This has increased
children’s risk for high blood pressure, heart disease and many other diseases associated
with being overweight. Even children that are not overweight are learning bad eating habits
that can affect them later as an adult. So it is recommended that children learn healthy
eating habits early in life.
Make a choice today for your family to slow down and eat healthy.
